Volunteer Opportunities

Established in 1967 to help build community connections and give a voice to marginalized groups, Reach has worked for decades to promote equity and self-sufficiency in Rockville and throughout Montgomery County. In the words of the organization's executive director emeritus, Rev. Mansfield Kaseman, "[Reach] was conceived to be a source of light and hope in a time of social upheaval, political discord, and racial and economic inequities. Its mission has always been meeting basic human needs and defending human rights."

The blessing box is a small, publicly accessible donation pantry where community members can give or take essential items. The simple principle of this service: “Take what you need. Leave what you can.” Non‑perishable food, toiletries, and baby supplies is an anonymous resource for anyone facing hardship. The goal is to strengthen community support by reducing food insecurity and encouraging neighbors to care for one another through small acts of generosity.   Contact serving@FaithWorksHere.com for more information.
