Concert for a Cause: Stephen Czarkowski and Friends

Friday, September 30, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.

Stephen, in demand nationally as a cellist and orchestral conductor, brings an eclectic blend of jazz, popular and classical selections to Faith for a concert 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 30, in our Sanctuary. He will be joined by Sally McLain, professional violinist who has played at Faith in the past and teaches at the University of Maryland.  Neil Brown, trumpeter for the Apollo and Fairfax Symphony Orchestras, and is also a frequent guest musician at Faith.

All proceeds from this program will be donated to the charitable program Kenya Educational Service Trips (KEST) school feeding programs, run by Faith UMC member Lloydie Zaiser. KEST supplies two meals a day for three schools in rural Kenya, feeding over 800 primary school children each year. Enjoy fabulous music while knowing your contribution will help malnourished children living in Kenya.

Youth and Family

Christian youth groups provide regular, intentional exposure to the Bible to help develop knowledge of God’s people, a perspective on the past, and a compass for the future. Relationships built on the study of God’s word, covenant discipleship, and Christian friendship allow those in relationship with one another to ask, as John Wesley did, “How is it with your soul?” (Ministries with Young People, 2016)

Next Messy Church Saturday, December 10 at 4:30pm

Did I hear you say what is Messy Church?

It is a quarterly inter-generational worship service which emphasizes being together (fellowship), making things together (creativity & service), eating together, and celebrating God together through preaching, music, and prayer.
