Blessing Box

Blessing-Box-2.jpg

Caring for our neighbors is a central theme woven throughout Scripture, reflected across both the Old and New Testaments as an essential expression of faith, compassion, and love. Scripture calls us to love others as we love ourselves (Leviticus 19:18), to respond to those in need with mercy (Luke 10:25–37), to share generously from what we have (Proverbs 19:17), and to live in ways that cause no harm (Romans 13:10).

As Luke reminds us, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.” ~Luke 3:11

Located outside near the driveway on the east side of the Faith UMC church building, the Blessing Box is a place to share food, toiletries and paper goods. Anyone may add to the box and anyone in need may take items. Extra donations are kept inside the church to be used as needed. The congregation is encouraged to donate non-perishable items for this purpose. If you have any questions, please contact the Faith Outreach team at serving@FaithWorksHere.com
