2026 Youth Mission Trip
This July, youth will head south to serve a mission week for Appalachia Service Project, a non-profit committed to eradicating the substandard housing of central Appalachia. Through Christian love, the Youth Ministry will provide home repairs as part of a team. Our team will be in Gate City, VA, working with the community of Scott County to complete home improvements for individuals in need. Teams of youth and adults will work on everything from roofing to foundations, all to support those most impacted by Hurricane Helene. During the week of July 12, our youth will stay, work and eat with youth from all over the country who are also committed to serving God and others.
Scott County is on the border of Virginia and North Carolina, nearly to Tennessee, and has a mostly rural population. One in five residents live below the poverty line, and the area is still recovering from Hurricane Helene in 2024. We have a team of youth and adults who have committed to the project, but we need you! You can help - with financial support, with snacks for the youth, but most of all with your prayers. To make a financial donation today, please visit the Faith website/Give and choose from the drop down menu “Donation to ASP Mission Trip”. We are excited to go on this adventure and so grateful to have your support! If you would like more information, please contact Suzanne Smedberg, Youth Coordinator, at ssmedberg@faithworkshere.com.
