Church staff is planning a monthly summer inter-generational midweek gathering in lieu of vacation bible school or a kid serve camp, which will include dinner and segments for fun, sharing, learning and serving. Funds will be used to purchase supplies for service projects such as cards for those needing cheer, snack bags or lunches for shelter, pet beds for Humane Society and/or UMCOR hygiene or school kits. 

This is a weeklong camp for girls, grades 6 - 12, August 1 - 6 at BWC's West River. This is the fourth or fifth year that LeadHER has taken place, and the intent is to provide girls with key leadership skills to add to their toolbox in the context of a safe, girls only environment. In years past, the girls have heard about mental health, about finding their personal mission, about becoming good allies, and about managing their time. This year, a diverse team of adults will help girls name and claim their strengths.
