A cooperative or “co-op” is a school, which is owned and run jointly by its members who share in the responsibilities and the benefits. By following the cooperative model, the cost of tuition is reduced by families helping out in the classroom and in administrative tasks around the school. Through play-based education, Aspen Hill Cooperative strives to prepare children to enter kindergarten with the foundational skills needed for academic achievement, as well as the social awareness and emotional skills needed to be compassionate, caring, inclusive and supportive friends and classmates.

Community FarmShare is building a connected, thriving local food system by increasing equitable access to nutritious local foods, supporting farm business sustainability, and improving the health of our local communities. FarmShare is where our neighbors experiencing food insecurity know where their next meal is coming from, and that it is of the highest, freshest, most nutritious quality. FarmShare is where our skilled vegetable and fruit farmers in Montgomery County earn what they deserve, to do what they do best: grow and sell nutritious, fresh produce to all eaters.
