Foundry UMC - D.C. Pride Parade

Funds were used to help rent a trailer and tow a vehicle. Additionally, grant money was used to make signs/banners for the participating churches, including Faith UMC. 

LeadHer Camp at West River Camping & Retreat Center (BWC)

LeadHer is a leadership development sleep away camp for 6th-12th graders who identify as Female. This program of BWC retreat and camping ministries was co-led by Rev. Laura Norvell. The grant provided a dot journal for each girl -to give them opportunities for creative reflection throughout the day which reinforces their learning and growth. Funds also were used to provide health snacks as adolescent girles are always hungry.

Meadow Hall PTSA

PTSA of Meadow Hall Elementary School in Rockville received funding to provide mid-morning snacks for first graders as their lunch time was moved to 1 p.m. This was in part due to a school schedule change.

Messy Church Service Project

Messy Church of Faith UMC is a quarterly intergenerational worship experience that explores God's love through fun, faith and food. The funds were used for a service project. The participants created bags of toiletries and snacks to be given to people without a home.

Stepping Stones Shelter

Funds were used as needed for case management, employment and career counseling, tutoring and post-shelter support.
