
Josef Sorrells
Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministry
Josef DeWaynne Sorrells, is a spiritual and motivational speaker, community servant, and leader.
​
Josef is a native Texan and member of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. In addition to completing high school, Josef Sorrells also received his Associate of Art (A.A.) Degree from Mountain View College at the age of 18 and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
​
In 2019, Josef received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with Latin Honors (Cum Laude), Departmental Honors and as a Lux Honoree recipient, the highest award given to senior leaders at Morehouse College. As a undergraduate student, Josef was a member of numerous organizations such as the Chaplin Assistant program at the world renowned Martin Luther King International Chapel, Student Government Association, and Moot Court Team. Furthermore, Josef has assisted in service projects that tackle childhood hunger, at risk youth, and inequality. Currently, Josef is a Masters of Divinity candidate at Howard University Divinity School.

Josef is a young man who loves the Lord and loves to inspire those in need. His motto in life is “If I can dream it, then I will achieve it!”

Josef is the oldest son of Mr. & Mrs. Joe Sorrells IV and has a younger brother Jalen.
