Fellowship

We provide opportunities for you to grow in your personal relationships with others. Many of our social gatherings include good food, conversation and a chance to get to know others within shared communities. Some of our groups enjoy trips to local baseball games, museums and theaters.

Circles:
The following 3 groups are called “circles” and are named after missionaries supported by our United Methodist Women. These “circles” offer opportunities for fellowship and community service projects.  For additional information about these circles, please contact the church office at 301.881.1881 or via email at office@faithworkshere.com

Nan McCurdy & Ellen Hoover — 1st Wednesday afternoon of each month. 12:00 Noon meeting in the home of a member.
Bonnie Campbell — 2nd Monday morning of each month. 10:00am meeting in the home of a member.
Susanna Wesley — 2nd Tuesday evening of each month. 7:30pm meeting in the home of a member.

Faith Card Ministry
The Faith Card Ministry began in February 2006 from an idea based on our small group study If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat!  It is a group always open to new members!  Our active members make or purchase cards to send to Faith members on our prayer list.  Our handmade cards carry a boat logo and Faith Card Ministry inscription on the back.  Our talented members share their skills for computer creativity, stamping, photos, special cut-outs, and general crafts.  Inspirational messages, including Bible verses are a part of our greetings.  Please contact the church office office@faithworkshere.com if you know of someone who is in need.

Merry-Go-Rounders
The Merry-Go-Rounders are a group of adult single women offering support, social activities and monthly luncheons at Faith Church. Events vary, but have included game and video afternoons or evenings, lunch or dinner parties, theatre and an occasional trip to the "White House". The group was named Merry-Go-Rounders as members may "get on or off at anytime."
Merry Moments
Merry Moments at Faith is a social gathering of mature men and women, who meet on the second Friday of the month for a delicious lunch and a variety of programs. The luncheons are open to anyone who would like to come, and are an outreach to the community, as well as the church.
Men's Lunch Group
Faith Church Men's Lunch Group will meets the third Wednesday of every month (except June,
July and August) from 12 noon – 1:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. There is a light lunch followed by a program and discussion. All men of Faith and their friends are invited to attend. No reservations needed.
Men's Prayer Breakfast
Our men meet every Tuesday morning at 6:00 am for breakfast and offer prayer for those
requesting prayer.
Needlework Ministry

"They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous and ready to share" 1 Timothy 6:18.    The works of our hands can comfort those in need or celebrate a joyful event.  Made in Faith, our needlework ministry group, meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the church parlor.  If you like to knit, crochet or quilt, or would like to learn,  this ministry is for you.   By crafting prayer shawls, baby layettes, lap quilts, scarves and similar items, we express our care for others and our willingness to pray for them.  Each meeting opens with a devotion and closes with our blessing the works that will be given to others.  If you are unable to attend the Wednesday evening meetings, you can be a "virtual" member of the group. Contact the office at 301-881-1881 for more information.
Pacesetters
Pacesetters is a group dedicated to Christian fellowship and has been a part of Faith Church for over 25 years. We would like to welcome new members -- all church members and friends, singles and couples. Pacesetter groups meet to share social outings about once a month -- usually on the 2nd Saturday. Our activities have included dining at the Lewistown Firehouse, dancing at the Bethesda Country Club, the theater, a game night, a "white elephant" evening, picking apples, museum visits, or brunch in someone's home. This is a great way to get to know other church members in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Stephen Ministries Stephen Ministry is a ministry of specially trained compassionate people who minister and care for someone in crisis, in our church family. The crisis can be anything from loss of a loved one to just needing care and support. The care is confidential, and the care is Christian care. It is truly a ministry of love.
